I decided to have my grandma try and make a video of the Thunderbolt 1003 at Central Nebraska Regional Airport. And they did a hi lo! The wind down got cut short because her camera stopped recording. And before anyone asks, there are no “hiccups” in this test, there are just so many buildings around that it echos and can make the siren sound funny.

Today was the day that Central Nebraska Regional Airport had their disaster drill. It is a practice for emergency response teams and is conducted every three years. Today was also supposed to be a regular test for the county but Grand Island’s weren’t tested but the sirens in Wood River, Alda, Cairo, and Doniphan were tested.

Federal Model 2T-240 at Lincoln Park in Grand Island, NE. Attack mode. The Thunderbolt 1000T on 4th St. and Congdon Ave. can be heard very well in the video as it is only about a half mile away. It is also the only Thunderbolt left in Hall County that I don’t have a video of. Runs on 208V

The Thunderbolt 1000AT at Howard Elementary school. The county appears to have started testing in attack on the 15th again. This one still has those hiccups during the wind downs but doesn’t seem to have gotten any worse. Look for a surprise for the July tests. Some people already know what I mean, so don’t ruin it.

City Hall in Grand Island. IT LIVES!!! I guess it’s 4th time is the charm. My mom didn’t have a clock, so she didn’t know what time it was and by the time she was set up the siren activated so the windup was missed. But it works!

The Thunderbolt 1003 at 2926 W Stolley Park Rd., Grand Island, NE in alert. Before I get bombarded with comments, yes, I know that the pitch is wavering. Please don’t comment on the wavering. If you comment, just say “great video” or something similar. My grandpa did a wonderful job of recording this.
